Morning!
Maybe it’s the lack of warmth up here in the Northeast. Maybe I’m tired. Maybe it’s Monday…so I’m gonna level with you. I’ve run out of clever words, so I’m just gonna get to it.
With five days left, we’ve got 14% to go!
We’ve done it before—just time to keep screamin’ from the rooftops.
Reward update: We sold our last alien cameo appearance for Fernando and my next book.
But since people have been digging it, we restocked the reward:
It’s available in our add-on menu. Choose your main reward and then scroll down the add-on menu to add this to your pledge.
And you still have time to grab any number of digital and physical rewards.
ON MY MIND
The highlight of the weekend: Logan earned his adult blackbelt!
He went through a rigorous 6-hour test that challenged him physically and mentally, and he dug deep, pushed through, and got his belt!
He also got a sword as part of his graduation, which brings the swords in the house up to 8! So yeah, we’re ready for the zombie apocalypse.
Logan started taking karate when he turned four, so watching him stick with this, continue to learn, and be a great member of his dojo makes me incredibly proud and impressed.
His Shihan (head teacher of the school) had a wonderful conversation about how proud he was, and I got to thank him for everything he was of Logan taught Logan over the years.
He’s sore…VERY sore…and has plenty of mystery bruises…and I hope somewhere in the back of his head is some pride.
Oh, and to keep everything in check, he had McDonald’s and a large pizza after his test—with NO negative repercussions—to remind us he still has the metabolism of a 15-year-old.
I live with a jerk-face black belt!

COOL THINGS TO SUPPORT
AMOR PATRIS #1 & 2: A SUPERNATURAL HORROR
Exorcisms are REAL. Something lurks in the shadows. Watching and Waiting. Immerse yourself in blood, death, and madness.
From the campaign: In the chilling world of AMOR PATRIS, the first issue thrusts the reader into a narrative of blood, death, and the terrifying unknown. Sheriff Rees arrives at the Anderson farm at what he first believes to be a routine disturbance, but something far more sinister lurks in the shadows.
“Do you believe in the devil? You don’t? You should, you really... really should.”-- Father Vincent Shaw
Here’s one for you horror fans out there. If you’re a fan of The Conjuring, Evil, or The Devil That Wears My Face, this one’s for you.
